Esther Lozano studied Photojournalism in the Complutense University in Madrid, Spain, and has a Masters in Photography in the EFTI School, where she studied with some of the most recognized photographers in Spain such as Chema Madoz, Alberto García Alix, Cristina García Rodero or Ouka Leele.

She has also attended seminars with the artists Duane Michals and Joan Fontcuberta.

Her work as a photographer has been developed in the freelance photo journalism field, shooting for a range of magazines, newspapers and websites.

She started her artistic career as a member of the artistic collective SOMA, with whom she has participated in a range of projects, touring in solo and collective exhibitions across Spain and Australia.
