ESTHER LOZANO BELMONTE

 
 
Esther Lozano studied Audiovisual Communication in the Complutense University and Documentary Direction with Michael Rabiger in Madrid, Spain. She is the founder and Managing Director of CANOPY PROJECTS and IMAGINING IMAGES, two Australian multimedia production companies specialised in family heritage and video production. She also works as a radio broadcaster, documentary filmmaker, video producer, photographer, communications officer and freelance print journalist, creating multimedia content for companies and institutions such as SBS, the Ethnic Communities’ Council of NSW, Consulate of Spain in Sydney, Finance News Network, Fairfax Media, Museum of Contemporary Art, Australia, Curious Works and Cervantes TV, amongst others. She also writes for National Geographic Viajes and Radar magazines. She is the Co-Director and Co-Producer of the independent documentary made in Australia, “Between the lines, the Initiation of Adam Hill” acquired by ABC for the program “Message Stick” and by SBS distribution. Esther worked as a Producer and Shooting Producer of documentaries and short films in Spain, for the awarded production company Mil Ojos. She worked for five years for the Spanish private TV network Localia TV (Prisa Group) where she was the Production Co-ordinator, News Reader and Reporter of the current affairs program “Indice Local” and the Daily News Bulletin. She also holds a long career as a voice over artist in Spanish, putting her voice in radio announcements, TV programs, documentaries, film dubbing, audio guides, podcasts and songs. Esther is also a photographer, and has completed a Masters in Photography with some of the most recognised photographers in Spain, such as Alberto Garcia Alix, Cristina García Rodero, Chema Madoz and Ouka Lele.
